2025 Norfolk Island Veterans Tournament
10 to 14 February 2025
One of our most popular events is the Norfolk Island Veterans Tournament, sponsored by Air New Zealand. Held in February each year, the Veterans Tournament is open to anyone over the age of 50. There are three age divisions, 50 – 59, 60 – 69 and 70+ years.
The format of the event is stroke / stableford, which allows those playing well to compete for the gross sections, while everyone playing can pick up their ball in the stableford section without being eliminated from the week’s competition. There are gold, silver and bronze medals awarded to the best gross scores in each age division, as well as a huge array of prizes in the stableford sections.

This great week of golf starts with the welcome evening on Monday at 5.30pm at the golf club. The draw, as well as all information relevant to the tournament is provided to players at this event.
Golf is played on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with 8am and 1pm shotgun starts each day. In the evening, a presentation is held at the club following the golf. On Friday night the overall results from the three days are presented along with a fantastic fish fry dinner cooked in local style.
The Norfolk Island Veterans Tournament is one Norfolk Island’s major events and places fill up fast.
